In addition to presenting the results of the CLIMA project (3 articles published in journals in the first quartiles of the JCR WoS database, 2 articles under review, 8 in development, and 14 presentations at conferences - 13 international and 1 national-), and discussing new lines of research and projects stemming from the project, the Workshop included 5 presentations by project members (Maria A. Barceló and Marc Saez, Marta Solans, Xavier Perafita, Diego Varga, and Jan Trallero), as well as three invited presentations:

In the CLIMA project, for which Maria A. Barceló was the Principal Investigator, the general objectives were: 1) To analyse the geographical variability of excess mortality attributed to the effects of extreme heat during the summer months in Catalonia, particularly those of 2022; 2) To analyse the geographical variability of excess mortality attributed to the direct and indirect effects of COVID-19 and other causes in Catalonia, particularly in 2022.
The project, carried out between January 2024 and July 2026, was funded by AGAUR; the Department of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda; and the Department of Research and Universities; all of the Government of Catalonia.
