The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the health of the population: not only in the case of affected and infected people, but also indirectly through the disruption in the activity of health services, potentially causing a sharp decrease in the capacity for treatment and diagnosis throughout the months with the highest incidence of the pandemic. The project aims to assess the impact of the pandemic on the health of the population, beyond the direct effects of COVID-19, with an intersectional look at the most vulnerable population and with a gender perspective. The proposal will provide a vision of the impact of the pandemic on primary care health services since its inception. The objective is to generate the necessary evidence to guide health authorities in their plans to focus resources on those diseases and population groups that have suffered the most from the effects of the pandemic, beyond the direct effects of COVID-19.
